Twilight’s Saga New Moon Star Robert Pattinson turns 23!!!!!!!

May 14, 2009

Robert Pattinson's 23rd BirthdayRobert Pattinson’s Twilight character, Edward, may remain a perpetual teenager – but the actor celebrated turning 23 on Wednesday. The star was joined by several of his New Moon castmates, including leading lady Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene and Jamie Campbell Bower at The Glowbal Grill and Satay Bar in Vancouver where they are filming. Pattinson and his pals were treated to champagne cocktails in the the V.I.P. section of the restaurant. They ordered rounds of shooters and feasted on Kobe beef meatballs, lamb, steak, salads and roasted vegetables. “Everyone enjoyed a hearty meal and had a good appetite,” said a source. But it’s wasn’t just a cozy night with friends. Pattison’s location was posted on Twitter, and soon hoards of fans descended on the restaurant trying to get pictures and autographs. “There was a lot of buzz and energy in the restaurant,” said the source. “Being in the same restaurant as Rob Pattinson for his birthday is great.” A fan told PEOPLE: “I was so happy to see Rob and help him celebrate his 23rd birthday. He took the time to meet us and take a picture with us, that was so cool.” After dinner, a platter of desserts was taken to the table where guests could choose between cheesecake, créme brulee, warm chocolate coffee cake and white chocolate mousse. Later, the group made their way to Afterglow, a small bar attached to the restaurant where they had drinks, talked and listened to music until close to 1 a.m.

New Moon newbit…will be cute enough for Robert Pattinson??????

New Moon is stocking up on new blood. Last week we told you that Kristen Stewart is getting some gorgeous competition in Noot Seear, but now Robert Pattinson had better watch out for Jamie Campbell Bower. Pattz’s fellow Brit, who also played a young lover (and singer) in Sweeney Todd with Johnny Depp, has been cast as Volturi leader Caius in the Twilight sequel. “Shooting has already begun, and I’m going over in June,” Campbell Bower tells the BBC, admitting that being a part of the popular series is “very exciting…It’s a great thing to be a part of, and it did very well last year.” He joins Seear and Dakota Fanning as the members of the Italy-based group of vampires, the casting of which has been slowly announced. “I do know who else will be in it—but I can’t tell you, unfortunately. But go online and have a look at the rumors,” he says, adding, “They’re all false. You’re putting me in a terrible situation.”

The rising star admittedly questions whether he’ll have the same effect on the ladies as a certain costar. “I doubt I’ll get the same sort of adulation as Robert—but it’s always nice when people recognize you for your work.”
