New Moon is stocking up on new blood. Last week we told you that Kristen Stewart is getting some gorgeous competition in Noot Seear, but now Robert Pattinson had better watch out for Jamie Campbell Bower. Pattz’s fellow Brit, who also played a young lover (and singer) in Sweeney Todd with Johnny Depp, has been cast as Volturi leader Caius in the Twilight sequel. “Shooting has already begun, and I’m going over in June,” Campbell Bower tells the BBC, admitting that being a part of the popular series is “very exciting…It’s a great thing to be a part of, and it did very well last year.” He joins Seear and Dakota Fanning as the members of the Italy-based group of vampires, the casting of which has been slowly announced. “I do know who else will be in it—but I can’t tell you, unfortunately. But go online and have a look at the rumors,” he says, adding, “They’re all false. You’re putting me in a terrible situation.”

The rising star admittedly questions whether he’ll have the same effect on the ladies as a certain costar. “I doubt I’ll get the same sort of adulation as Robert—but it’s always nice when people recognize you for your work.”

Twilighter’s……April Fool’s!!!!!!!!!!

April 1, 2009

Twilight's Japan Premiere: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner Late Tuesday night, mere hours before it was officially April Fools’ Day, blogs started to report that Robert Pattinson wouldn’t appear in “Twilight” sequel “New Moon.” All the sites had different reasons for RPattz’s exit from the film. PopSugar reported that he wanted out due to all the fan frenzy surrounding him and that he hoped to stick to smaller films in the future. The blog also said Taylor Lautner would assume the role of Edward Cullen. “Enraged fans have already started sending costume vampire teeth to Robert as a plea to get him back,” the post read. “But it looks like he’s sticking to his decision.” Meanwhile, ScreenRant.com reported that the “production of ‘New Moon’ has shut down due to a dispute on the set,” adding, “It seems that star Robert Pattinson has been butting heads with director Chris Weitz over not only script decisions, but apparent favoritism towards cast newcomer Dakota Fanning. Fanning has a much more established acting pedigree than Robert Pattinson, and according to reports, he’s pretty torqued about the difference in treatment on the set.” The site also had a new Edward Cullen lined up: Zac Efron. “Apparently the director and producers were impressed by Zac Efron’s performance in another teen-targeted film: ‘High School Musical,’ ” the post read. “They think Efron could be a good fit, and maybe even better than Robert Pattinson in the role and for the box office of future ‘Twilight’ films.”

Rest easy, Twilighters: Rob isn’t going anywhere.

Twilight Director talks of why she isn’t directing New Moon….

February 12, 2009

Twilight Spain Premiere

Despite being offered a huge sum of money to come onboard, Catherine Hardwicke decided not to direct Twilight sequel New Moon. The director told Entertainment Weekly that she didn’t want to make the film under the deadline and budget restraints that would have been placed on her for the follow-up, reports the Associated PressShe recalls being at dinner with Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in Paris when she got the call from Summit Entertainment, which offered her “more money than I or anyone in my family has ever seen.” But, she added that with the payday came tight budget restraints and deadlines. “I was devastated,” said Hardwick, who will release her book “Twilight: Director’s Notebook” in March. “I really did feel a strong connection to the people around the world that liked the movie, and to Stephenie and the actors. But I just didn’t think I could make a good movie under those circumstances.” A spokesperson for Summit Entertainment had no comment about the report. “New Moon,” which is due out on November 20, will now be directed by “Golden Compass” director Chris Weitz, , and both Pattinson and Stewart will reprise their roles as lovestruck Edward Cullen and Bella Swan.

For “New Moon,” Dakota Fanning has been rumored and shown interest in joining the cast as Jane. And it was recently reported that although Vanessa Hudgens auditioned for the part of Leah Clearwater, that character will most likely not appear in “New Moon.” And in a scenario that would surely fulfill many a fan dream, the Jonas Brothers have recently shown interest in having a part on the “New Moon” soundtrack. “The movie was obviously a huge success, and if they asked us to be a part of [the sequel], that would be great,” Nick Jonas told MTV News. “That would be really cool,” agreed Joe and Kevin about the prospect.

When she declines an offer like directing New Moon for these reasons, you can really tell that she is in it for the right reasons, hence, a great movie like Twilight….

Cast members appear to favor Fanning!!!!

February 1, 2009

Twilight's Supporting Crew at the Push PremiereAlthough we haven’t heard or seen Kristen Stewart or Robert Pattinson which play the lead roles for the Twilight and very soon on New Moon. Their fellow actors haven’t said much but they did accept the invitation to the new Summit Entertainment’s Push.

Now, I need to put this out there, what I am about to say DOESN’T MEAN ANYTHING OFFICIAL! But when almost the entire supporting role’s crew of Twilight makes an appearance at last night’s Dakota’s Push Premiere…that has to say something…..if it doesn’t….it does to some of us…Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Rachel LeFevre (Victoria), 90210’s Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen), and Edi Gathegi (Laurent) were supporting last Thursday Push’s Premiere in Los Angeles. They did not take any public pictures with the Push’s star Dakota Fanning, most likely because of PR reasons, they did although support Fanning and their actions were that they prefer Fanning over Hale. Although the casts never make the final decisions on who gets casted they do have some kind of weight…..All we can do is wait right????
